Hi everyone! This week went by very long but it was a great, long week. :P
So I don't know if I already told this story, but i'll tell it again, because it's amazing and has really helped boost my confidence. :) So on the 20th we had interviews with the mission President. :) The interview was really short, but awesome! He I guess, noticed a big difference in me, he says, immediately after I walked into the room, "somethings changed about you. " He was so happy with my improvement and he said "Keep doing what you are doing, you are doing great!" He also talked about how proud he was of me going up the latter and not backwards and to keep moving up. :) I felt and it continues to make me feel great!
Then later this past week we had exchanges, I stayed here in my area while Sister Miner came over with me. :) She was one of the two sisters that took me out my very first night on my mission. At first I was worried that she would hold on to that memory of that night and how not great I was, but not at all. :) While yes, she remembered that, she pointed out by how much I've grown sense then, which is awesome for someone else to point that out. :) But, I learned lots from her. :) Be BOLD, straight forward, and show Christ like love for each person you meet. She's so powerful, I wonder how she does that... :P
But today, Peggy a care provider for someone in our ward, became our new investigator. She even said that when she does come to know that the Book of Mormon to be true, she'll be baptized! So awesome! Then we also found 2 new potential investigators. :) Then another day we were walking and we ran into a girl who became another potential investigator. :) It was a blessing in disguise because we were walking the wrong direction, but because of that, we met her. :)
Also, again I don't know if I told you this already or not, but we put Janelle, one of our investigators on date for April 15th, and we are hoping that if she does her part that God will do some amazing miracles of helping her and her boyfriend get married.
Then our other investigator, Marsha, we are going back tomorrow to see what her answer is because we followed up after we first invited her to be baptized and she said no, but we stopped there to help answer and resolve her concerns and reminded her that one of the main reasons to get baptized it to receive the Holy Ghost. :) And that it is a commitment between her and Heavenly Father. :)
Anyways, even though, we've both been sick, things are doing good. :) I have to leave, but all is well, I love you all so much! Never forget who you are and what you stand for!

Hi everyone!!! I love and miss you all! Well I first just want to say thank you all for your prayers, they really do help me out in the mission field! You are all amazing!
This past week we had interviews with the President and the moment I walked into his office he said "somethings changed about you...what have you done differently or what have you learned?" And I was like at first, I don't know, but then I thought for a second then told him, I think I'm starting to realize that the promise God makes to everyone, I'm included in that. That his promise of when we open our mouth, He WILL fill it and I've seen that in every lesson I've been and and some times when we knock doors and do contacting outside. But I was so happy that he saw a difference in me, for the better. :)
This past week, right after our preparation day, it went way downhill. Three of our investigators dropped us and that night it was raining and we walked to the end of a corner and broke down. We didn't know what we were doing wrong for this to happen. Then Sister Passey was like while yes, we want to sit here, so does Satan, so let's go. And we continued on tracting for the rest of the night. Then the next day, we were able to go to Doctrine of Christ, which is another training for the new missionaries (me. :P) That was exactly what my companion and I needed to hear. It was talking about Missionary Work and the Atonement. It was AMAZING!!! We learned about the the true meaning of HOPE and faith and repentance. :) That was such an answer to our prayers. I think it's amazing and beautiful how God works and when and how he answers our prayers. <3
This week we had a great lesson with one of our investigators named Marsha who also had a hard week and wanted to find Jesus Christ more in the scriptures for one lesson and we told her to continue on with her personal reading and prayer and guess what she read next?! Mosiah 3!!!! That's all about Christ!! It was so amazing! Her prayers were answered! Then we invited her to show her desire to follow Jesus Christ and be baptized on March 18th and she didn't say no (like the many other times the other missionaries have asked) but she said that she would let us know by tonight, because that's when our next appointment with her is. We are so excited to see what her answer is. :)
But that's about it for this past week. It's been very eventful but, it's just separating the wheat from the tares. Where we are really focusing on the people with potential to get baptized this transfer. I hope we can see our fruit from our labors this transfer. :) <3
One quote that my companion read to me from her dad's experience from the MTC from John Sonnenberg from the 70's when he was in there and it says "When you are in the service of the Lord, the obstacles in front of you are not as strong as the power behind you. "
Stay strong, I love you all!!!
Again, thank you so much for all the letters and the email's it makes me feel so special! Please, keep doing what you're doing, you're all amazing and never change. Please, if you can keep sending me mail and pictures, I love to see how you are doing. :)

Pictures (2 Weeks)
Letter 2-13-17
So this past week has been great! It has reached the 40's early 50's! SO warm and SO sunny it's great! I love it so much and the birds are singing! So many beautiful birds!
One miracle which is pretty funny but so amazing- we call it the miracle of the shoe rack! So we made a goal to get out of teaching lessons on time, we wanted to be more obedient. :) So we had a lesson with a wonderful lady named Marsha and she's already been invited to baptism once before I came here, so now we are working with her now to say yes to baptism. We were reading with her in Mosiah 2 just like the first 20 verses and told her to finish the rest after we left. Anyways the spirit was so strong and she said that she could feel the spirit after we told her the different ways you can feel the spirit by using scriptures from both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. She said, you know what, come to think of it I felt the spirit when the Elders first came over to my house and I didn't realize it till now. That's interesting. And we were both in the inside like YES!!! She is starting to realize how much the spirit has really been in her life. <3 Awe we were so happy! And we also kept it in the time limit. :) We were so happy. Then we started to head to our apartment and try potentials. We had 5 minutes after doing all our plans so we were walking around ready to talk to whoever was outside while picking up some trash. So we went to go throw our trash away, and the thing is, we were secretly both hoping and praying for a shoe rack because it would be very helpful in our somewhat empty, but amazing apartment and.... there was a shoe rack! In okay enough condition to hold our shoes. It was just eaten on one side by a dog a bit, but otherwise, perfectly good. We looked at each other and gave huge smiles and we grabbed it and took it home. It works so well!
So I've learned that you will get blessing when you try your best and when you are obedient. :) haha So awesome! Anyways, missionary work is still going a little slow, walking and trying potentials, and trying to get in with our investigators to get them to progressing investigators. :) <3 We are also working with less actives which is a really cool experience to see how they are starting to recognize the spirit again or more strongly in their lives. We had a lesson with a man names Bro. Derek and he had a rough life and had said things to Heavenly Father that he's not proud to say because of his mother’s death, but how the spirit told him later in life, that he didn't need to know a why or answer of why everything happens in his life. And he came to a realization that he's okay if he doesn't get an answer to a prayer or a specific question he has, and it's okay because it's not his place to know all. He's also starting to strengthen his relationship with Heavenly Father again, which is great to see. The spirit was so strong in that lesson, it was amazing!
So in my mission so far, I've definitely felt the spirit and have realized that when I open my mouth in lessons that the spirit fills it with words and the people we teach are touched by that spirit. I think of the story of how Brigham Young was converted by the testimony of a simple man who has not a perfect speaker, but because of the spirit he had with him, that's what helped him convert to the gospel of Jesus Christ. That's what Ii feel like is happening. :) <3 The spirit is amazing! I'm blessed every day by having the spirit with me and helping me teach others when we do.
I love you all and thank you for the pictures and letters and emails and everything, it means the world to me!
Happy Valentine’s day! Happy early birthday Joe!
I love you forever and always,
Sister McKnight

When asked- Do you need anything? Can we pray for anyone specifically?
No, I don't think I need anything, but thank you so much! Um if you can pray for the lady in my email, Marsha, and another woman Janelle so that their hearts can be softened and that they can get baptized that would be awesome!

Letter 2-6-17 (1st transfer and scary story)
So, I'm just jumping to the climax of this past week. As we were knocking doors in our apartments around 8:30ish We knocked and a lady said, come in... and we were like (no way) so we knocked again, and we waited for a second. Then this loud thump at the door made us both jump. Then the door swung open so fast and there as an old man holding a huge knife at his side and wife behind. My eyes got so big in shock, ready to run so fast but Sister Passey, my new companion, didn't realize so she, being her happy self said Hi, We're the missionaries!... Then he said, oh no.. Then slammed the door. Then we slowly walked away and started laughing about it. I told her what happened and she's like oh my! haha Well, there's a first to everything right :P
Anyways, so that was fun, but this week I was transferred to Pasco 6th officially with Sister Passey. She's awesome! She even said, it doesn't even feel like she's training me. She's awesome! She helps keep my spirits high and I do for her as well. :)
One night we taught a family that the husband isn't a member and we taught them about faith and ready 12 verses of chapter 12 of Ether with them and asked them to read the rest as a family, they said they would, which is awesome! The spirit was so strong there, at that lesson, it was awesome! I love it!
The weather is getting warmer, into the 30-40's! :) The sun is shining and the birds are singing! It's great!
So you should ready Alma 36:3, it's pretty awesome! I love it and then Sister Passey had a scripture that goes along with that, it has a secret message that goes with it. (SMILE) it's in 2 Nephi 9:39.
This past Sunday was Stake Conference. Our mission president and his wife were there as well as the people in charge of the Washington temple! So awesome but it was so awesome! I learned of the importance of family history work and temple work and that there is many blessings that God want's to give us and bless us with if we do those things. SO AMAZING!
Also, I love when I hear people pray for the missionaries, because I feel such an overwhelming love and warm feeling over power me, it's truly amazing and beautiful!
I am sick with the cold, but all is doing well, I keep finding more strength to continue on in the Book of Mormon. I feel so blessed this transfer, I can't wait to see what happens and what is in store. :) <3
I love you all very much and can't wait to hear from you soon!
