Letter 4-23-18

AHHHHH!!!! It's crazy how fast time fly's by! Well I just wanted to start off by telling all of you, that prayer is amazing! Like AMAZING! When we try or exercise our faith, or belief in God, He works with that and makes great things come of it. For example (sorry Joe, I'm putting you out there in the world, but I have to) my brother has been praying for me this week and this is all the things that have happened because of it:
1-we got to do yard work, which I've been wanting to do because it reminds me of the times with my little brother
2- then they gave us a ton of food and root beer
3- then the lessons and talks on Sunday (all 5 hours) were just for me
4- a woman gave me a hug and I felt loved
5- I felt more strength and somehow being able to go through the day and accomplishing everything even though I feel dead on my feet :P
6- more self control on what foods I eat :P haha
and so much more and because of that it helped and still helps our testimony grow in that thing; God does hear and answer every child's prayer and does keep His promises. We just have to have faith in that, even though we may not see it yet or right after.

I've also realized, that I and all of us, have a lot more faith, than we give ourselves credit. I KNOW that because i'm still out here. :)
I KNOW that the Book of Mormon is true.
I KNOW that Joseph Smith was a true prophet.
I KNOW that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has God's power or authority/priesthood on the earth, that makes us different.
I KNOW that this is Gods true church on the earth today.

I love you all so very much!

Message from a member

4-13-2018

We saw these girls and invited them in for Dinner. Be proud of your missionaries! Here they are with my 3 youngest.

We had a very nice time visiting. Both AZ girls! Our oldest son served in the Arizona Tucson Mission. It was super fun for him to talk to people who understand what monsoon season is.

Letter 4-16-18

HELLEW!!!!! everyone! How are you doing? Well exactly a month from now (17th month mark today!) I will be home from my mission and my sister will be off to the MTC, starting her mission!!! It's so amazing to be able to meet with her and be together as a family for 6 days before she dedicates a year and a half to serving the Lord.

Yesterday at church, again, we have two wards, so we were able to sit through 5 hours of church. :) What a wonderful time we have. We had 2 investigators come to church and we had 3 less actives come that we are working with and a former investigator come to church! It was truly amazing to be able to see them all there. :)

The messages at church were all amazing too! One sacrament was all about the Book of Mormon than the other one was about how the priesthood blesses us individually and as families. :)

Then we joined the young womens and we learned about Jesus Christ and when he was speaking to Peter asking him three times: "Lovest thou Me? Then, feed my sheep" That really stood out to me, because we are all going to me a missionary for the rest of our lives. When we got baptized, we made a covenant with God that we would minister to those around us. :) Also, this helped me reconfirm the importance of working hard to the very end, there is no time or game to just step back for a few and take a break, because Christ never did. We need to be examples for others to see, that Jesus Christ loves all of us, and that Heavenly Father as well loves us, His children and wants the best for every single one of us.

Letter 4-9-18

Hello everyone! Yesterday, was Fast Sunday. It was also the first time on my mission that I was able to go to 5 hours of church.

In gospel principles class, we learned about prayer. When you should pray, how you pray, who you pray to.
1.) You can pray ANYWHERE! You especially need to pray when you don't want to! Because you cannot give Satan a double win! You're stronger than Satan!
2.) You can pray on your knees or in your heart
3.) You pray to your Heavenly Father

Oh cool miracle, we had a cool lesson with a less active in a ward and boldly promised him that if he would CPR that he would receive the specific blessings he is looking for, and he came to church! It was so awesome to see him there!

We then met with a part member family who have family that are anti (fight and tare down people's faith) but they are still open to try and get their answer to whether the church is true or not. They gave us their concerns and we are studying them for days till we meet near the end of this week. I'm so excited! It's going to be great!

Anyways, besides, that we are working with a lot of less active people, trying to get them back to the fold. :)

Letter 4-2-18

I hope you all had the chance to watch General Conference! Wow, was that amazing! It was so amazing to be able to experience a solemn assembly to be able to sustain and support President Nelson and the 12 apostles. The talks as well were really awesome and well needed! The Spirit was so strong, it was truly amazing! This last General Conference was life changing for not only me, but for the whole world like Jeffery R. Holland said.

Also during General Conference, many times, I realized how much I've been blessed with coming and being out on my mission and how much I've grown. Being on a mission is truly such an amazing gift that God has given me.

This week was transfers, my new companion Sister Walker has now been out for three months. It's helped me to really watch my tone of voice, because I've been needing to watch that my whole mission, which this will now help me prepare for life after the mission. It's also help me develop more quickly the Christ like attribute of patience. She's super sweet and does her best to do all that she can and wants to be exactly obedient. This last week was super busy which is good.

Love you all! Have a great week!
