Letter 5-30-17

So this past week again, was a roller coaster, but that's life. :) And I'm on the last steps of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is enduring to the end, which will last 'till the end' :P So this last Tuesday, we had an amazing district council by Elder Lauti and the zone leaders, Elders Owen and Sanchez. :) Anyways, so it was awesome and they extended an invitation to invite 4 people to get baptized each week, no matter if they say yes or no. (which of course we would love the answer yes! :P) So we all said yes, we would do it, and try our very best to accomplish that. :)

How we did it:

We had a lesson with our investigator Juli and invited her to be baptized on June 3rd, because she's taken all the lessons and has came to church once already, and she said yes! :) So baptism  this Saturday at 4! :)
Then we visited a former investigator to see how he was, David. He is physically broken but we got to speaking to him, the spirit was so strong, talking about Christ's Atonement and the power that the Book of Mormon has. We then started to talk about baptism with the atonement of Jesus Christ and he said that he still wants July 2nd to be his baptismal date! :) And man, was I so happy! :) <3
Then we have a potential investigator named Jacob, who we met on the street, we had given him the Book of Mormon and the Restoration pamphlet, and he has been talking about how he hit rock bottom, in the dark and now he wants to climb out, and we said that's why we are here, we are to help, and other things that I forgot what we said, but then we extended a baptismal date for July 2nd as well. :) And he said yes!
Then on Sunday, our last hour of finding.... we had thirty minutes left and I really wanted to hit our goal and we went by AJ's house, who we'd just met him a few days earlier. We knocked on his door and his wife answered, and we started talking to her. (it's finally hit in the 90's and we're slightly dying inside) and she offered us waters.  She came outside then with AJ and we started talking to them and invited them to read the Restoration pamphlet, come to church, and once they found out for themselves if this is the True Church, then would they get baptized? :) They didn't say no, but they said that they would study and would have lessons, and learn more till they said an absolute yes. :)

AHH, was that awesome! seeing the Lord's hand it our work, none of these conversations were pushed, they all flowed, it was awesome to see! :) <3

Oh another thing, was this last Sunday, Peggy (investigator, she's amazing!) that we have been visiting with and eventually her husband George and her uncle David starting coming out to talk with us. Anyways, a few days before Sunday we invited them all to come to church, Peggy, said yes, as always <3 then George said I'll make no promises... and David said, you'll never see me step inside of a church... And guess what???????!!!!! Peggy walked in with her little sister and DAVID!!!!!! He said at the end of it that he enjoyed it, so that was so awesome!!! (Now mind you, Peggy is in her 50-60's and so yeah, it lays out everyone's ages. ) It was so awesome! I was smiling so big! It was crazy!!! AHH!!! So happy! It was great! So many blessings! :) <3

Anyways, now we are helping them move to somewhere else in Pasco today. I am truly going to miss them so much! <3 I love them with all my heart, but I'm so excited for their new house! They deserve it. :)

Okay, I love you all so very much! Thanks for all that you do! Love you always and forever,

Man, was this week a roller coaster! This email is going to be brief and short, so sorry about that, but yeah. :) Lot's of things were slow, I was sick, things feel through, but here was a good thing that happened this last week . :) <3

So two days ago, Saturday night, I was asked to give a talk on Sunday (yesterday) because a youth was sent to the hospital because he was sick. Anyways, the talk was on the scriptures and my experiences and testimony on them. :) I was so excited! And I was very proud of myself, I didn't read it word for word! :) <3 I looked at the congregation as I talked. :) I was so proud! This was my first talk on my mission sense the MTC and you my MTC crew, I think would've been so proud of me. :) haha I love you all so much! Always keep fighting! And remember to love you self first! <3

I love you all, always and forever!

Letter 5-15-17

I got to talk to my family yesterday! Man, was that amazing! I got to see their faces and hear their voices! I am so blessed to be in a time where that can happen! <3 I loved being able to see their smiles and know that they are still alive and well and that they are doing good.  We got to talk about blessings that they have seen and man were there some big ones! AH! It was just so nice to be able to do that. :) <3

So in other news, I got sick again, YAY! Slight fever, runny nose, itchy throat, yeah... anyways. :P Also, my feet and ankles are getting eaten by some other bug... :/ Also, don't know what it is but hey, all is well, right?! Count my blessings. <3 :)

MIRACLE!!!! Peggy and her husband came to church!!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!!! they did!! I was so happy and proud of George coming! They are not members. We are now counting Peggy as an investigator because she has come to sacrament meeting 3-4 times now, and she will join the church when George does, and George knows that the church is true, he just can't give up his smoking, but when he does, he will join! :) <3 It was a great gift to see him yesterday as well! Made me so happy, I almost cried!

Well, I made it to the 6 month mark roughly ( May 16th official date) :P WAHO!!! haha Some days it feels like it has gone by so fast and others not so much, but hey, that's how life goes right?!

Anyways, I love you all so very much! And I hope you all had a wonderful mothers day, because all of you Mom's out there,  you are amazing!!!! Never forget that. :) I love you Mom, Dad, Savannah, Joe, Kiley, Sarah, Bradee, and extended family and my lovely MTC district 41D family! <3

P.S. This picture is of a wall I found, "faith wall", I loved it so I wanted to take a picture next to faith. :) <3 I hope you all continue to grow your faith daily by doing your CPR=church, pray (everyday), read (the book of Mormon everyday)

Things with my new companion are good! The tallest sister missionary in the zone with the shortest sister missionary in the zone :P We are good for each other and the people we teach here in the snake river ward. :)  We have another person on date now, her name is Julie :) <3 We invited for her to work for May 20th, so we are excited! :) She's great! This past week we did 2 hours of yard work for her and then she took us out to eat. :) We have food places in our area now! It's so awesome! :P Then I got to, for the first time ride a driving mower and mow George and Peggy's yard. :) They are some awesome people. :) Not members, she's a potential investigator that comes to church for sacrament meeting but is not taking the lessons. Is the care taker for someone in 6th ward , where I used to serve in and now moved to where she lives. But a cool thing that came from it/ miracle is the when were talking to George, who knows the church is true but doesn't want to join till he want's to give up smoking is that he will come to church one Sunday before he moves somewhere else in Pasco. :) It's going to be great! He's like a funny old sarcastic grandpa. :P haha

It's still weird to not have to walk everywhere, but it's nice.  There's lots of farm land on one side of our area, so it makes sense to have a car, so. :P We get to do car washes ever Monday! THE BEST! :P so fun! I'm starting to get a hang of it. :P and it's weird to think, that I haven't driven in like 6 months ish! :O haha

That was it, really, it was kind of a slow week, but all was well. :)

<3 I love you all dearly! Always and forever!

Letter 5-1-17

Hi! How are you! :) So the picture at the bottom is of Sister Coffey, Mitchell, and I (Sister McKnight) at Mitchell's baptism! That was my first ever baptism to get together, and let me tell you, man is it a lot of work, but it's totally worth it. :) The spirit was so strong! :) We had the opportunity to have the "Moment of reverence" or the "spiritual thought" right after the baptism, waiting for him to get changed and we showed a video called 'lifted burdens' and then bore our testimony afterward, and the Spirit was so strong, it was amazing! There were so many tears in the room. <3 That truly was an amazing experience to me for many parts in the gospel. 1.) That Satan is real and strong and that even though he is scary and you think that he's won, you realized that God is stronger then him. :) 2.) The gospel of Jesus Christ is true and WILL help you in your life. 3.) That Jesus Christ set the perfect example for us to follow and that baptism is the first steps to becoming like Him. :)

Second cool experience, Sister Coffey and I had the lesson part of a fireside. :) It was all about endure to the end and how to turn outwards and see the blessings from that. :)  We shared to videos called 'Good things to come.' by Jeffrey R Holland and 'Reflection' (all video's mentioned are on Mormon.org) and we share some scriptures that have helped me endure to the end, D&C 121:7-8 ; Mosiah 2:41 ; 1 Nephi 15:24

This week has been pretty good, and I just wanted to thank you for all that you are and all that you have done for me in my life. You are all amazing and I love you and Christ loves you and your loving Heavenly Father loves you as well.  Never forget that.  You are special and just like in Elder Holland's talk this last General Conference: my favorite talk, You mean something, no one can ever take you place, because they are not you. You are unique and special and offer something that no one else does. Never give up, never quit. :) <3

I love you all, Always and Forever,
