Letter 2-26-18

Hello everyone! This past week was pretty awesome! We put two people on date. :)

We had a church tour with our investigator, Cola. :)

We got to meet and have lessons with some awesome families who are less active in the ward! :)

We got to go to the temple with our recent convert, Lizeth, to do baptisms for the dead! :) Roxanne got baptized on Saturday! :)

We had interview with the President this week. I received a blessing from him to help me continue strong, to the end of my mission. :) It was exactly what I needed to hear, the blessings and promises are amazing! :)

Also, church yesterday was amazing!

Testimony:
I think in one way that the mission has benefited me personally is my testimony. My mission through awesome positive experiences and the not so awesome experiences has helped my testimony grow so much, where parts of my testimony are strengthened and are firm and without coming on my mission, I wouldn't be where I'm at now, with my testimony. That I'm SO grateful for and I know that because of my mission and how it's blessed me that way, I will always be eternally grateful. (if that makes sense) I feel like this mission has helped me prepare for life ahead, with a stronger testimony in hand. :) Haha I also think my understanding and LOVE for the Book of Mormon is the greatest blessing for me on my mission. I haven't really loved to read the Book of Mormon till my mission, because now I know how to read it and to apply it to me and those I'm around, which is an amazing blessing. :)

Letter 2-20-18

Well this week was transfers. Sister Burn is pretty awesome! We found a new investigator from a less active family in our ward. It's pretty exciting! We are staying busy. :) Doing the best that we can do here in the Palouse ward. :) We had ten investigators in this ward, so we got work to do! :)

Some awesome video's you should watch!:

They are both something that I need to work on, but that are powerful new videos! They speak so much truth, it's amazing! :)

Read the Book of Mormon, and sincerely pray to our Heavenly Father. Only good things and blessings will come from it. You'll be strengthened, given peace, and comfort.

I also know that there is so much power in having a witness of Joseph Smiths first vision! I love how whenever i recite it or someone tells it to me, his exact words, the Spirit testifies of that holy and amazing event. If you don't have a testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon, do so, because it'll bless your life and make you stronger to fight against the evil and the temptations of the world.

*Just keep swimming!
*Do you're best, and God will do the best!
*5 minutes a day(in the Book of Mormon) keeps Satan away!

Love you always and forever! Let the the light of Christ shine through you and be a window to his love! :) <3

Letter 2-12-18

We just got transfer calls and sadly my companion, Sister Quayle is leaving to Walla Walla and the other Sisters that live with us, one of them is leaving, :/ Sister Franson. :( Such a sad day. :/ I'm receiving Sister Byrn, but I have no idea or clue who she is or where she's coming from but I do know she's been out for maybe 6 months or so. :) Wish me luck. :)

In other news, we had a ton of people come to church yesterday, so that was AWESOME!!! We had two investigators: Bo (age 11) and Serena (age 9) come. We had Paula's family (less active family) came to sacrament meeting. Then another less active father and daughter came for all of church! It was pretty awesome!!! While not a lot of people were there, there was everyone there that we invited! :) SO AWESOME!!! # blessed! Some cool things that we hear on Sunday:
* We are where we are supposed to be.
* Without you, the music of life would be different and wouldn't sound the same.
* No request is too big or too small, so pray, Heavenly Father wants to hear from you. :)
* There is SO Much power in prayer
* Covenants, Direction, and Revelation --> why we read scriptures

Thank you all so much for who you are and all that you do, you're amazing!

Love you!

Letter 2-5-18

I love personal study on my mission! That's one of the things that i LOVE so much!!! We get an hour to study!!! I wish it was more sometimes, but i love it! During this week, I was ready a few talks and two of the stood out to me and I wanted to share them with you!

The first one is called "YOU GOTTA BELIEVE" by Matthew O. Richardson in Decembers church magazine! The quote I wanted to share with you is "Stand up straight, smile, and remember who you are. You are a child of God. Be a light. Don't you ever forget!" Isn't that awesome! You can feel his testimony and it's as if he's talking to each on of us! :) <3 So cool!

The second one is called "The Gospel Path to Happiness" by Elder Holland!  Some cool quotes are: "Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence."
"Most times happiness comes to us when we least expect it, when we are busy doing something else, Happiness is almost always a by-product of some other endeavor."
"All of this takes effort, It is a battle but a battle for happiness that is worth waging."
"Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier"
"No one comes to true happiness except by Him."

This week, I beat the game bop-it!!! And with that bot a new investigator names Serena (Star) who's nine years old. She asked us how to pray and so we taught her, left a restoration pamphlet with her. Next day we knocked on her door to ask her mom if it was okay if we start teaching her and she said yes! So then we gave her a children's Book of Mormon! We are super excited! Please, keep her in your prayers! We are super pumped to put her on date! :)

I love you all and am so grateful for your examples and prayers! It means the world to me. :)

Letter 1-30-18

Wow, this week, a lot of things happened!!!

1.) Well, everyone, I’m old enough now in the mission where I got my "trunky call", to prepare you to go home in 3 months, or 2 transfers. AHH I’m nervous but excited! I feel like I’m just starting to get a hang of this missionary life and all. :P haha But that's how it goes.
2.) We got to go to the temple today, so awesome! I love being able to sit in the Celestial room and feel the spirit and the peace the temple brings. :) Rainbows also were able to make an appearance and so did the sun! :) What a blessing!
3.) We got to make a chocolate sheet cake... :) Didn't turn out as yummy because the lady that we were making it with kinda messed up, but hey it's still edible! haha that's what matters right?! haha
4.) This week we got to talk to at least 15 new people and had quality gospel conversations! It was pretty awesome! :) haha
5.) OHHH yeah!!! So I was super bold and courageous more than I ever had in my life! haha like really! So we have an investigator who we haven't been able to meet with forever and yeah so she set up a time with us and we went and knocked on her door with the primary president. :) Her little boy answers the door, then runs to ask her, comes back and says no, sorry she's busy and I was like....are you sure because we set up this time to meet with her and he's like okay let me check one more time. He goes back and was like yeah no she's busy right now and my comp, Sister Quayle and Sister Johnson were ready to go but then I said, are you sure, we could wait for a few minutes or reschedule a time to meet...They both were like oh my goodness Sister McKnight what are you doing? Even the little boy rolled his eyes and then went back to his mom to ask, then like 30 seconds later the door swings open and it’s the mom...(now I’m thinking she's possible going to yell but!!!.....) She says hi, and lets us right in!!! :) We got to know her better and have an awesome lesson on the Plan of Salvation! :) We were also so glad that Sister Johnson came, it helped so much! :)
*I hope you got all that, sorry if it's confusing. :P
6.) An investigator that we put on date that we had to give to our DL because she lived in their area and she's going to get baptized this Saturday!! YAY!!!! :)

Spiritual thought from the scriptures:
Jacob 3:1 "....LOOK unto God with firmness of mind, and pray unto him with exceeding faith, and he will console you in your afflictions, and he will plead your cause, and send down justice upon those who seek your destruction."
*(my thoughts) Ever since the last general conf. in April the adjective to LOOK has stood out to me. :) I don't know why but it does. :) Then I love how Jacob tells us what to do so that way we can overcome our afflictions and be comforted. Two main things LOOK and PRAY. I can promise that as you do those two things you'll be blessed so much in so many ways you won't be able to count! haha

I love you all so much and am grateful for all that you are and do for me.
