Letter 12-8-16

Okay, so first off, my companion and I had two TRC appointments this past week.  They are just like actor investigators.  We will never really know if they are real investigator or not but, the best things happened...... they both said yes on our second visit with them!!!!!!!! They said YES!!! My companion and I, when our first TRC appointment said yes and we left after the lesson, we hugged and we were so happy! :)  It was so awesome being able to see how she was able to come unto Christ and to be able to feel of his love that he has for her. :) <3 Then our second TRC lesson, our investigator started to cry because the spirit was so strong that we all started to cry a little bit and it was such an amazing feeling to have.  Again, to be able to teach with the spirit and have the spirit testify that what we were teaching her was true and that God and Jesus Christ loves her so much! <3 on that one, after we left, outside the door, we just gave each other a huge hug and teared up some more. Man, was that such an amazing experience and that got me more excited to be able to go to Washington to be able to teach people who we, through the spirit can help them come unto Christ. :) <3

Earlier this morning, we also got to go to the Provo Temple.  I love it so much! It's so beautiful and i keep finding a lot of symbolism and other stuff in the temple that I never recognized before.  It is so amazing, even in the artwork not only in the temple but used throughout the church.  Everything is symbolic and it's beautiful and amazing!

Hey Mom, Dad, Nanners, Joe, Kiley, Sarah, and Bradee, I love you all!  Never forget that! Thank you for being a beautiful, amazing family.  You truly are my strength. :)

It's really cold here, but it's snowing again right now. :) When it snows, it makes the cold a lot more durable. :P

This week as well, we did an in field orientation and I learned a lot, but here is just a few things that i learned:
    * You should believe you can baptize
    * The Lord is already preparing specific people to recieve you in every area you will serve throughout your mission.
    * Remember to open your mouth and God will fill it
     * Act on the promptings of the Holy Ghost and you'll be blessed.
    * Represent the Savior, as he would have you be

And one thing that keeps coming to my mind and is shown to me is that the Lord really loves and blesses his missionaries. :) <3

Thank you all for your prayers and faith me in, it means a lot.  I love you all! Can't wait to hear from you soon!  Never hesitate to email or write, :)  I love them!

  1. Thanks for sending this out. It brings back a lot of memories for me. I can remember all the busy excitement of the NYC and what a spiritual high it was. Please pass this on for me.
One thing that I have come to believe is that different people communicate in different ways. The scriptures say that each person is to hear the gospel in that person's own language and tongue. I interpret that to reference more than just language but different communication styles as well. I tend to think that a big part of missionary work is finding the right people whose communication lines up with each other. For a particular investigator it could be a member, a missionary, etc. Who knows? I tend to think that in any given area, there are people who need to hear the gospel from you, specifically. When that communication lines up, it most easily invites the Spirit and the message resonates strongly. I would recommend seeking out those people who you resonate with and finding the members who resonate with the investigators who you don't resonate with. I hope that makes sense.
