Letter 12-27-16
Hey everyone! It's me again! :P This week has been pretty good. I'll have to send pictures next week but I can still tell you what happened. :) So this week we've been to our only investigator, whose name is Rebecca. :) She's so awesome! We've read scriptures with her 1 Nephi chapter 1-2 and Joseph Smith's testimony at the front with her and she's making connections and then after we would read with her, we would help her with her craft that she had to make for the Christmas holiday.:) It was so fun! We were both worried about messing it up but she was like, it doesn't matter what it looks like, you make it the way it is and that's perfect! She's so awesome! I hope she continues to grow in the gospel and realize that this is the message and church for her to join . :) So yeah!
Anyways, Christmas eve we spent it at a member's family home named the Tome's. They are so awesome! We got to eat tamales! So yummy! Then they gave us a gift which was warm fuzzy socks that are my favorite color and M&M's. :) It made me smile and warm inside and it made my companion Sister Carter smile. :) Then Christmas morning, all of the sisters in the same apartment complex came to one room and we had breakfast and opened all of our Christmas gifts there. :) Thank you family for the gifts and thank you Grandma and Grandpa Lofgreen for the gifts as well! it made my day! Thank you Aunt Kim and Uncle Dale for the card and gift card! :) Thank you for Savannah and her seminary class for the letters, thank you members from my home ward for the letters you sent as well. I will try my best to write all of you back. Please continue to write me and to email me, it helps when I'm at my low moments. I got one of the warmest gifts on Sunday as well! The sun was shining so bright and it was so warm (all 45 degrees warm) :P Everyone was sad but I was so happy it was sunny and warm! :) <3 I love you all and can't wait to hear/read from you soon! I will continue to pray for each of you! <3
I love you all,
(pictures maybe coming soon. :P)

Letter 12-19-16
I miss you so much!! The first week of the mission, sorry about this, this is going to be a if'y email but it's had many ups and downs. :/ My trainer has been asking me to do SO many different things all perfectly and telling me things that I can't do and not necessarily anything that i'm doing right, just doing wrong. She is known throughout the mission that she is AMAZING, but I have mixed feelings. I feel so rushed and not good enough to be on this mission. It's so hard, but I know I have to continue and to try my best, and that's all I can do...
But there is some things that are good that happened throughout the week. We've been able to talk to others that I would've been just skipping over but, it was good experiences. We've had no progressing investigators or baptisms at all for almost a year. So I hope that we can make a difference at things in this area. People in the ward are very nice and we've had dinner at three people's house.
It's kinda hard to warm up or get used to my trainer Sister Carter, and all the other missionaries because they've known each other for a long time and I'm the only new sister, but it's getting a bit better, very slowly. I feel rushed and tired all the time.
Sorry for this email, but I hope everything get's up hill from now. The scenery was awesome, it snowed a lot and yeah, I am in a walking zone so yeah.... I hope to loose weight. :P Thanks for the pictures, one thing that I may ask is if you can send hard copy pictures to me of the family and friends and maybe some from the MTC so I can look at them all the time instead of once a week for one hour. I miss you all so much! Please, continue to pray for me, it means a lot! I got the package from Grandma and Grandpa Lofgreen, but haven't opened it yet. :) I'm excited! It's very cold! :P If so, can you also send me some of my lotion, if not that's fine as well, I can buy here, but yeah. Please also, feel free to write me, :) I miss you!!! I love you all!!! I can't wait to see you soon!!!!

Notes from Emily- please don't send her lotion, she left plenty behind and we will send it to her. Also she has been told that they are not to give out their physical address but to have everything go through the mission office. If you need at address just let me know or it is on her blog site. She only has access to a computer on p-day (which is Monday) so sending letters in the mail really is the best. Plus it sounds like she could use them. We are putting together a stack of pictures and little notes to send to her. If you would like to send me an email with a picture and I note I will include it in our package. Thanks for helping to support her through this journey.

Goodbye MTC, Hello Washington!
Today was a BIG DAY! Sister McKnight packed up and left the MTC for the Mission Field. She was able to call us from the Airport before boarding the plane for Washington. It was good to talk to her. She was nervous with all of the airport firsts (she has never flown before) but sounded GREAT! A few minutes later we were sent the following text message and picture:
They are looking great and about to head out of SL airport to our home mission!! Hopefully we are able to meet them again there and send you another pic during their mission!!

Yes, she was the only Sister heading to Washington today. We know she arrived safely because we received the following text message.
They just landed safely in Tri-Cities. They were met by Pres and Sis White and the APs. Washington/Oregon will treat them well!! Merry Christmas!
Then we received the following email and pictures from the Mission Office:
Just a note to let you know that Sister McKnight has arrived safely at the Washington Kennewick Mission. The picture is with President and Sister White and with the other 3 missionaries who arrived today also. We are excited to get to know her. This is a great place to serve as a missionary and I know she will learn to love her mission as we learn to love her.

Letter 12-8-16
Okay, so first off, my companion and I had two TRC appointments this past week. They are just like actor investigators. We will never really know if they are real investigator or not but, the best things happened...... they both said yes on our second visit with them!!!!!!!! They said YES!!! My companion and I, when our first TRC appointment said yes and we left after the lesson, we hugged and we were so happy! :) It was so awesome being able to see how she was able to come unto Christ and to be able to feel of his love that he has for her. :) <3 Then our second TRC lesson, our investigator started to cry because the spirit was so strong that we all started to cry a little bit and it was such an amazing feeling to have. Again, to be able to teach with the spirit and have the spirit testify that what we were teaching her was true and that God and Jesus Christ loves her so much! <3 on that one, after we left, outside the door, we just gave each other a huge hug and teared up some more. Man, was that such an amazing experience and that got me more excited to be able to go to Washington to be able to teach people who we, through the spirit can help them come unto Christ. :) <3
Earlier this morning, we also got to go to the Provo Temple. I love it so much! It's so beautiful and i keep finding a lot of symbolism and other stuff in the temple that I never recognized before. It is so amazing, even in the artwork not only in the temple but used throughout the church. Everything is symbolic and it's beautiful and amazing!
Hey Mom, Dad, Nanners, Joe, Kiley, Sarah, and Bradee, I love you all! Never forget that! Thank you for being a beautiful, amazing family. You truly are my strength. :)
It's really cold here, but it's snowing again right now. :) When it snows, it makes the cold a lot more durable. :P
This week as well, we did an in field orientation and I learned a lot, but here is just a few things that i learned:
* You should believe you can baptize
* The Lord is already preparing specific people to recieve you in every area you will serve throughout your mission.
* Remember to open your mouth and God will fill it
* Act on the promptings of the Holy Ghost and you'll be blessed.
* Represent the Savior, as he would have you be
And one thing that keeps coming to my mind and is shown to me is that the Lord really loves and blesses his missionaries. :) <3
Thank you all for your prayers and faith me in, it means a lot. I love you all! Can't wait to hear from you soon! Never hesitate to email or write, :) I love them!
