Letter 3-6-17

So one thing that I have learned so far on my mission, is that I've become a crier..... :/ Why, I don't know :P But it's starting to happen and my MTC family (group) can testify to that, haha but while I've been on my mission, I've been able to feel the Spirit so strongly, it has been amazing! :) While yes, there has been multiple hard things on my mission even in the first 4 months, almost 2 transfers in, the gifts and feeling the spirit as strongly as I have, has been so worth it. :)

One of our investigators Marsha said something like this, that really hit me in the heart (in the good way of course), I commend you two for being out on a mission. It takes lots of faith in what you believe to leave everything and come out here and serve.  It must be a blessing to be able to learn everything you do in this short year and a half, then to have to wait to experience the same lessons in about 10 years.  And I'm like, yeah that is yet another blessing that I'm able to receive by being on a mission is getting those experiences that others would have to wait and get within a span of 10 years give or take. I then I related that to baptism now verses later.  Where we want her to be able to receive those blessings of baptism now instead having to wait such a long time to receive those blessings that God has been tried for her to receive.  So this last time we met with her she changed her answer from no to I know I should get baptized but it's the wanting to. :) That's a big huge step in her conversion but know we get to work with her more and talking about the blessings again that she will receive and the next time we will meet with her, which is tomorrow, we will extend a date. :) I'm so excited to see where this takes her. :)

Another fun story, is that with our other investigator Janelle, we got to do our first church tour with her.:) The spirit was so strong there, we did it yesterday. :) We went around and explained what some of the rooms were and what they did in them, and awe, it was amazing! I loved being able to do that church tour with her and a couple in our ward named the McDonalds. :) Such a cool spiritual uplift. :)

K, now this part it a bit nasty but I might as well tell you so you are all posted... So we think that we got fleas..... I know it's gross! We don't know where we got them but yeah..... We've tried everything to get them away but it doesn't work.... so please pray that we will get it all figured out and it will be good. :)

I love you all! Continue to follow the straight and narrow path that has been placed before you and you will be blessed. :)

  1. What a sweet letter from Rebecca! You really should be so proud of her and proud of yourself for the great example and mother you have been. I know I'm proud of you!
